Generations offers two scholarships for writers...
Emerging Writer's Scholarship
The emerging writer’s scholarship is designed to assist writers who are in the early stages of their writing career. The $500 scholarship may be used for tuition to a writing retreat or fellowship. Restrictions do apply. Details and applications are made available from February to May of each year. Each scholarship is given once each calendar year.
2012 Recipient: Roxanne Rashedi

Roxanne Naseem Rashedi holds an M.A. from Georgetown University and teaches at Santa Clara University. Her work has appeared in the Asian American Literature Discourses and Pedagogies Journal and MP: An Online Feminist Journal. Roxanne explores the intersections between yoga and creative writing and she is currently working on Saffron Lips, a collection of short stories.
With the Emerging Writer’s Scholarship, Roxanne attended the Voices of Our Nation summer retreat in Berkeley, CA where she worked with Elmaz Abinader.

Lifelong Learner Writing Scholarship
The Lifelong Learner Writing Scholarship is designed for writer’s and artists over the age of 40 and can be used for application fees and tuition for residencies, master classes, writing retreats, etc. The scholarship requires an application and is awarded twice a year. When the application is available, we will post a link on this page.
